Q: Are exchange cores available?

A: Unfortunately no. Some customers would invariably get "the short end of the stick" and that will not occur here. Also in consideration of the  large  variety of castings on the market  today, the range of modification packages and custom options that I have available, it  would be impossible.

Q: Turn Around times?

A:  As with any seasonal business it varies.  During the slower months, mid August through December, it is usually a few  weeks. It generally begins to climb quickly  in mid January. When I reach approximately 6 weeks I shut the doors to all but my existing customer base until it drops back to 3 weeks or so. Where I do not like to turn new customers away, taking in more work than I can handle would be a recipe for disaster and that is not my prerogative. If ill planning and "immediate gratification" are your traits, then you are a perfect candidate for the mass produced and you should save the dime and visit your local Harley-Davidson boutique. I will not hold it against you. Do not hold my standards in business against me.

Q: How do I contact you?

A: Via telephone, 724-368-3955. Normal business hours are 10AM to 7PM.  If  I'm working on heads I may not be able to answer.  If you are a regular customer calling from a public number I'll return your call  from the Preview log.  The BEST time to call is 4 - 6 PM (eastern) as I make it a point to be near the phone then. I do not have an  active e-mail. I like to know my customers by name and SPEAK with them.

Q: How do I get my heads of other parts to you?

A: UPS, FEDEX and USPS. I cannot accept  walk in traffic as I also work in the prototyping and consultation fields and have had to adopt a closed door policy.  Please call before you ship so we can review current turn around times, prices etc. ALWAYS INCLUDE A PACKING LIST with contact information, the type of work you want done and the amount of return shipping insurance you'd like. When boxing, insulate the parts from each other by boxing individually and use plenty of crumbled up, tightly packed newspaper. Keep parts away from the bottom corners of the box.  DO NOT just throw your heads or cylinders in a box with styro peanuts, if you do they WILL become severely damaged!

Q: What about payment?

A: Return shipments are via UPS and are COD money order or certified funds.  I cover the costs of  return ground shipments 48 state on invoices over 500.00.

Q: Do you offer any other parts or services other than cylinder head related?

A: Yes. I'm an authorized dealer for S&S, Andrews, Axtell, and several others. I can  furnish engine internal  parts at a substantially discounted price when accompanied with cylinder head work. I  offer a variety of cylinder, piston and crankcase machining  operations as well depending on current cylinder head related work load .
